old window

When we replaced our windows a few months ago, I couldn't stand the
thought of throwing them away. Well, I have had two that I have used as
picture frames for 20 years or so. So knew I didn't need to do that. I
tried to think of something that would be useful, so I came up with a
jewelry holder.

First I removed all the glass. These hadn't been painted so they were
natural oak. I painted the frame the red,
then applied crackle medium, then white paint. Then in the lower
sections, I stapled screen to the back for earrings. I then applied a
curtain rod to the top section for bracelets. Then I attached four
decorative knobs I got at Hobby Lobby, for my necklaces. I got some
chain to hang it from.
