Two vintage squirrels (mom and her little one) looking too cute on my dining room table)...
The pedestal - an old hat stand (?) and a piece of slate for a woodsy look!
A little closer...
Say cheese - ok... acorn!  :)

I don't do a whole lot of fall decorating (a little on my porch), but did a centerpiece for my dining room.  The cloche was bought new, but the two little guys were rescued from the confines of a local antique mall (ok, well I did put them under glass, but they do have a better view - it's a nice sunny room).

The pedestal was an old hat stand or something, and I attached a piece of slate for a woodsy look.  I collected the tiny pinecones from my aunt's yard in Kentucky (years ago - and have been using-and re-using them up little by little).  There's also a small piece of moss and a branch - to help make it a "home-sweet-home"!

It's one of those things that just makes you smile when you look at it!

MimiToria writes: Too cute, Kathy. Very great use of the moss, pine cones and small branch.
But, where is the acorns? You need to find an oak tree that has dropped its acorns, so that the squirrels have something to eat. Ha! Ha! Posted: 1:34 pm on September 29th
