Here we all are at the check out stand! What a fun group of vendors and shoppers!
A great shot that shows the style of the shop.
Whats a gathering without a truckload of Oreos?
We couldnt resist these Big Brother pins. Look for these gems in an upcoming project.
Love these Sock Monkeys! May have to make some pom pons for mine at home.
Some things are just too funny to pass up. We loved these so much, we bought the lot! What to do with them now? Stay tuned...
Sue, Tommy, and his beautiful niece had a moment between shopping to chat.
LOL at this old game!
Rat Traps!? Hillarious!
These acid bottles would really make your Halloween decor complete! Spooky!
Two very satisfied shoppers.

Kristi, the owner, and the rest of her crew really out did themselves this time. Her store was brimming with fun finds and unusual treasures. The mood was festive and the shoppers were buying up the store! This is surely a not to pass by "Hot Spot." Hope you can make it over sometime.

KimberlyMelamed writes: I agree with Gretchen. One of the best ways to know what is going on at the local antiques/flea markets is to sign up on their mailing lists. We do have a listing of some of our favorite hot spots around the US on this site with contact informaiton. We will also, occasionally post when a sale or flea is coming up. Another resource would be to check out Albert LaFarge's book U.S. Flea Market Directory. It is a bit dated, so you will want to call the markets ahead of time to ensure the info is still the same.

Happy Junking!

MimiToria writes: ALVN - This is a great antique shop that is on 50th & Xerxes in South Minneapolis. Every few months they have a special sale/event and if you're on their mailing list you get contacted. The store "Hunt & Gather" was featured a few years back in one of the Decorating magazines, and is really a great source for an array of finds. It is 2 floors villed with vendors with a lot of different tastes/styles. If you get to the cities check it out. They have normal antique shop hours, but happened to be doing an event/sale last week when Sue & Kimiberly went. I heard about it at Junk Bonanza from one of the vendors at the Bonanza that also sells at "Hunt & Gather". I also am on their mailing list and they have usually a special gathering preview with food for the mailing list people.
I hope this helps.

CottageElements writes: Great pics, Kimberly. I actually was there the day before the sale. I looked at those saline lables, but didn't know what to do with them. What I really wanted was the silver metal serving tray they had all the food on. They wouldn't sell it to me, but told me I could rent it! Got to find me one of those!
