Window Pane

I'm always looking for fun new ways to display treasures. The window frame, table cloth, flower painting and silver plate were from local garage sales. Silver candelabra was  a $5 sterling piece my husband found at a local antique show. I made the wreath out of pine cones collected in North Carolina. The bunny was one of my husband's favorite toys when he was a baby. (I'm saving my marriage by resisting the urge to tell you how many years ago that was...)

CraftingWendy writes: Yes, I agree. Husband Doug is a gem. He has a great eye for junk -- and often finds the best treasures by searching flea markets and shows slowly and carefully...while I dash around like a crazy woman. Doug is a deputy sheriff in our hometown, so in addition to junk and antiques, he loves old police memorabilia -- badges, uniform buttons, police signs and patches. Many thanks for the kind comments! junkermidge writes: Very creative way to showcase both the window and the treasures. Way to go! I so love windows. Let me get this right -- your husband not only goes to antique shows (on this own, nonetheless) but buys things for you that you might like? HOLY COW! Don't worry, your marriage doesn't need any saving.
