Painted Side Table

Practically done.  I will coat with 3 layers of polyurethane (water based).  Although I try to use environmentally safe products I recycle anything given to me too.  But I love the funky, colorful look.

Primed and ready.

I started painting with acrylic.

My cat Scoots was checking on my progress.

Almost finished.  I didn't like the pink extended arms so I primed them all over again.  Still can't figure out the pattern yet.

I found this side table at a thrift store for a couple of dollars.  It was already half primed with white paint so I primed the whole thing and painted a funky, whimsical picture on it.  My story of moving from the city to the country.  Although I probably could have done a distressed look I  went with bold colors.  As you will probably find out in weeks to come, I moved into a smaller house and had virtually no furniture so I was junk hunting for anything that didn't cost a thing.  I'll eventually post how my rooms came out with furniture.  Those were my projects all summer!
