Vintage Assemblage by: gailmarie
Items used - vintage: mini pie/tart tin and metal pcs; weathered wood, nails, misc metal pcs, assorted screws
I originally tried to make this piece look similar to an Africian mask. Not sure if I really succeeded, but I still like the look of this piece.
(I had this piece in the gallery less than a week before it sold!!!)
Here is a look at one side of the piece, showing an ear...
Here is the other ear. As usual, I dont like to always match things up. I think it is more interesting when things arent always the same.
This is the top of the piece. I think I had more fun with this part, hammering out any frustrations I may have had at the time!!! I am getting ready to make more of these kinds of pieces, as I have a large box FULL of assorted nails (and more frustrations to hammer out in my life)!!!

I think you are so darn cute to have been thinking about me. You did the right thing in buying your little goodies. Can't wait to see what you can come up with. Please make sure to post your creation.

Sure wish we lived closer. I could just imagine us going junkin' together and having a GREAT time!!! :O)

Second ~ you were on my mind this week-end. I went junkin and came across some metal Coleman parts that looked like little funnels. My first thought was how can I get these to Gailmarie for one of her projects because she could soooo do something with these. Is that wierd???? They were only .33 cents so I bought them anyway and I think I figured out a project of my own but wanted you to know that you crossed my junk mind! Posted: 11:32 am on October 12th
