A great grate

I found this the other day at the scrap yard and thought it would make a cool grate for hot dishes. After a thorough scrubbing and steel wooling, it was ready to be sealed with a clear varithane.
Next step was to drill holes in the 4 corners so that I could screw feet onto it to make it esier to pick up. (It does weigh a ton!) I tried lots of things, but really liked the look of the faucet handles best.
I think this would be perfect for a loaf of french bread! Wish I had some to try out! I'm hungry just thinking about it!

This grate was my most recent find at our local scrap yard. It just seemed to lend itself perfectly to this!
