Shabby Chic Bottle Tree
September 21st, 2008 in member junkA few years ago, while we were visting my sister in the south, while driving in North Carolina we came across a bottle tree. I was completely taken with the folklore and fell in love. Once we got home my hubby welding together rebar in the shape of a tree, and after much practice perfected where the tree limbs should go. After a few years of trying the the wine bottle display, it finally it me that I could paint the tree white and display my favorite collection of clear bottles...and the Shabby Chic Tree was born!

I looked for info on the folklore - here's a website I found: http://www.bottletree.net/Trees.htm (some pics and a little history).

P.S. Sue, I think you need a little bottle tree in your Falloween entryway!
