The clothes are Barbies, but...can you not see Audrey Hepburn in those capris and cropped sweater...
Now Im old enough to appreciate the fine dressmaking details...
My mother made this velvet-collar coat to exactly match the one she had made for me...The Bloomies Big Brown Bag is the anachronism... it belonged to my daughters thoroughly modern Barbie, but I thought it paired nicely with this camel hair coat.  Theres meaning behind it, since I once worked at Bloomingdales...

.....Some would consider old doll clothes junk...  I sold my vintage Barbie doll, but couldn't part with the outfits, which were handmade by my mother... They were stored in a box...until I remembered I had this shadowbox.  I don't really consider myself a doll collector, but love this miniature fashion show...Mom is tickled too.

junkermidge writes: Oh, what a fun project! The clothes were definitely the best part of playing with Barbies. Sewing those tiny outfits are actually much more difficult than big clothes. Your mom did a great job, and such great designs. You were smart to save them and even smarter to display them. Mom must be pleased!
