Trophies have always been cool and always will be, so feel free to use them over and over and over again. I promise... they just never get old! The P. Coleman 2nd Place Team trophy is a timeless beauty. The fact that it is a bowling trophy makes it priceless!
This fragrant beauty is just the right touch for my baby grand.
Jewelery is not just for human necks. Lets face it...you cant wear all of your jewelry at one time so why not show it off around the house in between wearings? Youve seen this bedazzler before. It was created by our very own JMS contributor, Gretchen. She gave me the bestest compliment the other day. She said that she felt like my home gave her a hug when she walked through the door. I say a home should provide two things. A hug and a smile. This necklace provides the hug and the bowling trophy provides the smile. Thanks for the hug Gretchen!
Wrap the chain around the neck of the trophy several times and hook the clasp. It does not get any easier than that.
Fall really is my favorite time of year. No sweltering heat and no bitter cold. The air is crisp, clean , and autumnly awesome. Dahlias are among my old-fashioned favs. They can be spendy, but if you take a trip to your local farmers market you should be able to pick them up very inexpensively. Throw in some fragrant herbs like rosemary and thyme to sooth your soul.

After a long weekend on the road playing with flowers and junk always helps me unwind and get back into the swing of things. It's Junk Therapy 101 for me. There is hardly ever a need to run out and purchase a container, because what you have hanging about the house will do quite nicely. This container is a combo of two junk staples..trophies and junk jewelry. Throw some exquisite dahlias into the equation and you can consider yourself fully therapatized and ready to face Tuesday with a full head of steam. Remember, if you're keeping it simple, you don't always have to reinvent the wheel...you just have to give it a new hubcap. Sometimes old standbys are just the best!

Did you make this?
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.
Post your project photos

MimiToria writes: Wow, Sue this is gorgeous. The flowers are beyond awesome, the trophy is to die for, and the necklace (well it does add to the overall design). Gotta be careful what I say, since I designed it. Don't want to be arrogant ever.
This truly is my favorite floral post you've done, just because the simplicity of it is soooo doable, the flowers are gorgeous, love trophies, love jewelry, and love you!!!
You were so sweet with your words, and your house surely hugs me every time I'm in it. It would be my dream house and I could move right in with the warmth it already radiates. Of course, you'd need to leave it furnished. lol Posted: 9:40 am on September 15th

I know what Gretchen means about the hug...we felt right at home the moment we walked in! :)

Well done!

Craftyladie writes: I love simple projects! This one is beautiful! I so enjoyed meeting you in Tulsa this last weekend. You really inspired me to look at a piece of junk in different ways. I find myself turning things upside down or pairing it with some other piece of junk to turn it into something beautiful. DBF was going to throw away a piece of metal mesh gutter guard and I snatched it from him! He said, I suppose you're going to make something out of that. Yep! Don't know what right now, but I'll have it when the idea comes to me. I wish I had your imagination Sue! Posted: 9:23 am on September 15th

junkermidge writes: What a beautiful and SIMPLE project. I'm so glad you're focusing on keeping things simple. My husband always says that very thing to me "Why do you always have to reinvent the wheel?". (I don't know why.) So you're ideas are really inspiring me. Of course, all you ideas ALWAYS inspire me. Thanks for all you do.
