Items used - vintage: Hersheys Instant tin, silver mug and baby spoon, metal cups and bowl, bottle caps, Tinker toy pcs, aluminum shaker w/lid and measuring spoon, wooden checker; door pulls, forks, pony beads, screws, nuts and bolts
The backside of this tin sure makes interesting reading - somewhat like cereal boxes, first thing in the morning. BOY, did my (six) sisters and I fight for the cereal box when we were little!!! I think it was because no one wanted to talk to each other so early in the morning (we were all slow waker-uppers).  :o)
Close-up of this dudes face. He started out NOT to be robot-like, but sometimes things dont go the way we want them, so I had to settle for what worked. I do like the red tin bowl though....all that rust......
Notice the blue of the eyes??? I chose that color because it matched the blue in the eyes of the little boy on the tin.
How many of you remember this tin??? I was lucky enough to get two of these tins for .25 cents at a rummage this summer. My 6 year old nephew used the other one  to make HIS version of a robot. Wish I would have taken a few more....

When I saw the tin, I just had to have it, as it brought back a lot of memories for me. I am pretty sure it was from the 70s. I can't remember if there was a cartoon commercial or not...

I love the "I SPY" idea. I think the next couple I post will be good for that!!!

You know, I am having this craving for chocolate milk right about now, too!!!

Thanks for all your wonderful encouraging words. Hugs to all. gailmarie Posted: 12:26 pm on September 4th
