I picked this up today after the school run... For FREE! It was a curbside find. I even waited out a guy who was wondering what I was doing... I played off pulling over to text. (very important-pull over!) Anywho, It is so heavy... and the mirror is beveled. It gives me the same feeling of Craftyladie's $1.00 mirror.

I'm thinking about doing a spin of what she did to it... hmmmm...... adding flower's bobbles and things....

Junk_Sophisticate writes: Nice save! Curbside finds are the best! I recently came across a HUGE stack of old books sitting on the curb in a neighborhood that requires permission from the owner to pick up. Well...I went a knocking on their front door! I wrote about it on my blog here, hehe. - http://bit.ly/vwC2c

My kids know how it is at our house too. ;) Wonderful piece byabpryor!

RustyDiva writes: Lucky lucky duck! I just can't believe people would just throw it out ~ I would at least donate it. My kids are used to my rubber necking also and will even point stuff out if they see it first. I've also been known to lower them into dumpsters to retrieve stuff I can't reach (only if it's clean) The things we put our kiddos through ~ LOL Congrats on the score. My kids have finally accepted the fact that when I see junk on the side of the road I stop. The trick is to start loading it into your car like you own it. That way people leave you alone assuming it has to be yours.
Great curbside shopping byabpryor.
