CAN YOU FIND THE LIGHTSWITCH?????
July 29th, 2009 in member junkI recently built a new home, and I really don't like the basic white light switch plate covers that the builder installs. So, I decided to custom make one that would be quirky enough for my office, and display a bit of my collection at the same time.
I took some thin balsa wood to keep the weight down, cut out the switch hole and screw holes, then got out the E-6000 and glued the night away...... The dimensions are 6" high x 21" wide. I wanted it to look like a piece of art on the wall, only I know it's the light switch, you can't even see it there among all the buttons.
I love how it turned out. It inspired me to do smaller versions for my kids rooms too (guitar picks and sand dollars). There are a million things you could use to decorate one for yourself! Have fun!
