Here are the junk materials for the project.
The finished project headed to class.
I had to add a flower arrangement in an old coffee tin. The whole thing cost me about $2.50.

I was put in charge of decorating my class at church and needed a large piece for one of the tables.  Someone told me in a previous post that the plant stand would make a nice serving piece so my mind immediately went to "service" at church.  We needed a place to put announcements, extra bibles etc.  I covered the left over insulation board with a Goodwill fabric remnant, attached it to the back of the plant stand so papers wouldn't fall out and it's new divine purpose was created!

Of course, I do love the rust and the fact that the center actually looks like a cross - totally accidental!!  I love it when projects work out!

 

The coffee tin will go by our coffee pot.
