Bottles are from the late 40s through the early 70s.
They make more of a statement when all grouped together.
Terrific graphics.
Great colors.
Some bottles not only have wonderful graphics but really cool shapes.
The caps are little pieces of art too.
I painted the text and attached an old bottle opener to each side.
TASTIEST OF THEM ALL Does it surprise ANYONE that a bottle of soda with a potato on it didn’t catch on.
It would be quite a mess if it tipped over.

I have amassed this out-of-control collection of vintage Soda Bottles. The whole thing started with three bottles I found at a tag sale. Twenty five years worth of tag sales later I own around 300...crazy. Every bottle has its own unique graphics and I consider each one a little piece of art. I recently built this shelving unit as a way to group the bottles together and turn a portion of my collection into one gigantic art statement. Another flea market find was a bag full of vintage bottle caps. The caps are attached to the front of each shelf and add to the overall graphic intensity. The only place left in my house to display something this large was my son’s bedroom…the kid hardly noticed it.

ela1203 writes: You have a wonderful collection and have it displayed so nicely. I like how intact the pyroglazing? is on the front of the bottles. Very nicely done. My fiance collects old bottles himsself from the 1700 and 1800's so I know how large a collection can be. Recently he put some lights in his cabinet and they make a nice glow coming through the bottles.

How I have longed to meet another pop lover!!

I have about 60 vintage bottles...definitely not as many as you. I have them in my kitchen with my vintage Kitchen Aid mixer I had painted lime green.

Yikes - can you imagine soda (or pop as we say in Ohio...) tasting like a potato?? You may have the only one ever sold!! :)
