Snap. Crackle. Now they Pop!
May 26th, 2009 in member junkGadora commissioned a piece for Shoe String Interiors, outside of Ft. Worth, Tx. The three pieces needed to match, not be too dainty and speak to the new homeowner who was to pair them with a chocolate leather sofa and chair. All pieces were sanded, original knobs removed, holes filled, painted with base coat (chocolate), painted with crackle glaze, painted with top coat (butter), then sanded, details added like brass hardware and emphasis on grooves and corners, and coated with a polyurethane sealer. (All coats were allowed to dry before next applied). The homeowner LOVES them. They look great in her old-world setting.
