Another album challenge entry ...sort of
May 24th, 2009 in member junkWhen the album challenge was announced, my immediate thought was "ooh, I'll make a table similar to the one I made before". Well time got away from me and I still haven't made anything new for the challenge, but I thought I'd post a project I made a few years ago. It's long gone so I feel that this one "doesn't count". I don't remember the album on top, but I remember it was a juicy one.
The table was made using a vintage ashtray as the base. I glued together 3 or 4 albums (be sure and use the really weird ones for that) to make it stiff, and glued it to the top, no glass needed. Quite easy.
If you remember a previous post of mine, I made a table with a dart board top. My original plan was to put albums on THAT base, but they were too small. That's when I noticed the dart board and used it instead. So, I'm still looking for a perfect base for another album table. That's what I love about this whole junking thing, plans change, mistakes happen, new ideas develop, and it usually ends up leading you to somewhere you never meant to go -- USUALLY for the better.
