Corbel Shelf
September 3rd, 2008 in member junk
These were a couple of corbels I purchase in Oronoco (thanks Georgia for directing me to the dealer who had them!)
I'm not one to "build" a lot of things, mainly repurpose them or build them on a smaller scale, so this was a bit of a step for me. But when I saw these, I knew they would make a perfect shelf. I would have liked to have left them chippy (I love chippy), but part of them was completely unpainted. I actually think this turned out quite well, if I do say so myself!

You did a fabulous job on the shelf!! Very creative and versatile. It could be used for a lot of different things.
Way to go,

As to more projects, my mind is spinning now. I've got a couple metal table frames that are needing new tops that I've been too afraid to tackle . . . hmmmm . . . I think I may go for it! I'll let you know.

Love your shelf - the beadboard was a great choice too - very nice style! I think you're definitely a builder now! (There could be some serious power tools in your future!!!)
LuAnn, good luck at the antique market!

This is impressive. I love everything about it. I guess you can't say "you're not on to build" anymore! Way to go.
Take care,
