Time for Junk!

A pizza baking pan (I think!), a metal tray and the egg cup insert for a double boiler make up the meat of this project.
First a hole had to be punched in the pizza pan.  This took longer than anything else in the project!
Using WeldIt glue, I glued the bits together and then clamped them to dry.
The movement is inserrted through the back and glued with Weldit.  The hands are put on the front and a hanger also glued to the back.  And...presto, fabulous junk clock!
I was so inspired, I made other clocks!  This one is out of a nice pot lid I found at Salvation Army.

My first blog post here.  I had gotten a couple clock mechanisms on eBay, curious how easy it was to create a "junk" clock and this is the result!

kbingham writes: Thank you all for the great feedback! These were so fun to make I'm addicted to clock making! OldNews you're right...everything looks like a possibility! And greencolleen, the tray with the three holes in the top right is from the double boiler. It had little metal cups that go in it...I figured for eggs but not sure. There was another person who wanted the double boiler but not the insides...and I was thrilled to get just the insides!! :) Posted: 2:01 am on May 17th
