New Purpose for Garage Sale Find
May 12th, 2009 in member junkI found this old, heavy, cast iron jar opener at a garage sale for only $2! I was so excited and snatched it up immediately. I didn't want to change the perfectly aged opener too much so I decided it would make the perfect frame holder. I found this small frame at Goodwill and put decorative paper with a cardboard bird sticker in it for now. The jar opener has a twist handle for opening and closing the mouth to fit around a jar; it holds the frame tight just as it would a jar lid. It also has a small notch that just happened to fit the frame perfectly. Thanks for looking!
