I had a great terracotta container that almost didn't survive the winter but decided to give it new life as a recycled moss garden.

Strategically placed some moss that I pulled up from my yard. As you'll see in a later photo, stones and plants will fill in the spaces between. The moss will also continue to grow once it settles and becomes happy again.

Planted the ivies and ferns. I'm fortunate to have a very large shade garden full of this stuff. I'm always yanking it out and stuffing it in every nook and cranny.

My completed container ready for the table. As the ivy grows, I'll make it into a topiary form.

Moss, ivy, ferns, and stones in a 'recycled' terracotta pedestal container. I also love making polyclay mushrooms and popping them in everywhere.
