old barn door turned outside shower wall / hall tree
April 22nd, 2009 in member junki found this old wood door in a trash pile - i think it was originally a sliding door on either a barn or garage - it still had the slide hardware at the top - i cleaned it and waxed it - i thought i finally had a use for the box of old outside faucets i had held onto and decided to use them as 'hooks' and mount them into the door. i mounted 3 faucets across the top and four across the middle - the first faucet on the left of the top row i drilled all the way through and attached it such that you could attach a water hose and use the faucet as an outside shower - we had an outside shower when i was growing up in the country - i sold this at the warrenton, texas show to a lady who did end up using it as a dividing wall in an outside pool shower area - she was quite pleased. and i loved the way it turned out. it got a lot of attention.
