This is a detail showing the card rack pieces sitting on top of the TV antenna.
An oblique view.
This is a straight-on view, with the wild blackberry bramble behind. (It was HARD to get photos of this thing to work, it took two or three tries!)

I erected my garden trellis: 2 paperback spinners, part of a TV antenna, pieces from a card spinner, bamboo poles, plastic ties, and waxed string.

The two "cages" on each end are old paperback spinners. The middle "pole" with the hat is the TV antenna. The card rack pieces are on each side of the antenna and on top of it too. (We took the antenna down when we gave away our TV a year ago.)

Last year I made a trellis extension that wasn't adequate for my runner beans and it collapsed. This trellis is for the runner beans and peas and hopefully it will hold up much better!

(The green tent things in front are tomato cages made from bamboo poles.)

monakent writes: How fun!!! From the looks of it, I'd say this would hold just about anything - perfect for runner beans and peas! Very creative. Once things start growing, could you show us more pictures? I'll bet the whole thing will look awesome, once the veggies start moving through/up the trellis. gailmarie Posted: 10:27 am on May 31st
