Junk projects dont get much easier then this

No tools, paint, glue or sanding required

The glass top sits on little rubber bumpers
You can always alternate the crates for a different look

With bright colors and cool graphics these old Soda Crates are a quick way of creating a simple junk table. They are always available at flea markets and usually inexpensive.

Simple but colorful and useful. I have some Coca Cola
crates that I might try doing this. Thanks for a great
idea. Posted: 6:47 pm on December 9th
pofolksdecorator1 writes: HI, I love the bottle shelf! Wish I had it! I was wondering if you had any ideas for a fireplace screen. I want vintage. I was thinking of a granny gate, but that would be too big. Or Three wooden picture frames attached togeather with small brackets, and stain glass paint the glass in each one. Any other sites I can look at for ideas? Thanks you are very talented. Annie ( Po' Folks Decorator) Posted: 2:50 pm on October 18th

Nice work!

Junkpony writes: Love this! The sleek glass on top of the weathered crates is awesome; the basket of (bocci, croquet?) balls is a cool touch. You must have the most colorful junk collection of any of us! Posted: 1:59 pm on April 17th
georgiamoon writes: Jim, thank you for giving us another glimpse into your home. You have a definite "signature" style that is always interesting and fun. I, like upyourattic am amazed to see a lamp that doesn't have a metal shade of some sort...what's up with that? You probably end up selling ALL of your project lamps immediately, and have to buy them from the store...god forbid!...to have any light in your house! Another cool and simple idea, Georgia Posted: 1:54 pm on April 17th
upyourattic writes: Love these crates and the colors are awesome! But, is that a "regular" lamp I see?!?! Love the simple, yet elegant, display of croquet ball also! Way to go - AGAIN!

monakent writes: This is a great endtable idea, Jim. LOVE the look with the colorful accessories, which brings so much life into the room. I too, like the look of crates. I have been using mine for many years, stacked on top of each other vertically, so the logos can still be read from the sides. This then becomes my bookcase(s) for all my piano books and sheet music, which I keep right next to our piano. At one time, they even held up a portable piano (they are that sturdy). Enjoy seeing your handiwork!!! gailmarie, bfa Posted: 11:59 pm on April 16th
