That is a great idea!

I did something along those same lines, except I screwed the knobs to some copper piping, and used them as little garden posts in my flowered pots and around the garden ~ they mimick little colorful flowers and the patina on the copper posts will turn green after being exposed to the elements.
Now if I could just find my camera so I can take a picture to show you......

Thank you for all of the great ideas! I, too, had thought about making it into a room divider of sorts and think it will look awesome propped in a corner of my living room (using corbels for stands), with my other "junk" find ~ an antique bow front dresser I picked up at a yard sale for $15! I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get it all done. (The dresser will be getting a fresh paint job and glass knobs) I just need to learn to cut back on the amount of "junk" I bring home since my house is very small and a bigger house just isn't in the budget right now! Thank you all for the suggestions and I hope to be able to post some of my creations soon!
Oh, and another question ~ can anyone recommend any good junking places around the Portland, OR area? Thanks again!
