Another idea for an old window -- I took things I have found on walks on the beach and created a memory window.

DownHomeDIY writes: p.s. some of my friends use clear adhesive caulk to glue stuff to windows. (they call it plumbers caulk). I haven't tried it but wanted to pass it along, for what its worth.
