AWHILE AGO I POSTED SOME WEEKEND FINDS, THIS BED WAS ONE OF THEM. I DECIDED TO KEEP IT FOR MY SELF & PUT IT IN MY STUDIO. OF COURSE, I WHITEWASHED IT, OF COURSE I KEPT IT! IT ONLY TOOK ME 45 MINUTES TO MAKE; I'VE GOT THIS DOWN TO A SCIENCE:)

cirlam writes: I have 2 old bed frames in my garage that i have been wanting to make a bed bench out of. I have no idea how to do it, so if you could please share how you do it?? I would love to get these benches done, sold(or kept!!) and out of the way so I can park my van in the garage this winter!!! heehee Posted: 6:47 pm on November 16th
MimiToria writes: I like the finish you created. Also, it looks like you extended the bench farther out than the side rails, which is a smart thing to do. I have one that is from a spool style bed and the spools hit you in the back making it uncomfortable as well as the bench was made with too little depth. Your bench seems to have solved both of those problems. Nice redesign. I remember your post on these, they were dark stain, right? And there were 2 of them if I remember right.

georgiamoon writes: Well, will you share your secrets? I have always wanted to make one of these but have not had the chance...if it only takes 45 minutes I should be able to make one in say a week or two! I think it is lovely and would want to keep it myself. Great detail on the bed makes it extra special. I really want to hear how you do it...please, Georgia Posted: 2:51 pm on November 14th
