How to Mosaic!
November 1st, 2008 in member junk1) Pick out something you want to mosaic!! Almost anything can be done!
I usually just do scatter mosaic, where there is no particular design.
2) Pick out your tile, broken mirror, glass, or china plates to mosaic!
3) Break them with a hammer, and a glass cutter (can buy one at hobby lobby, micheals or a craft store).
4)Buy tile glue and grout...Most likley to get these at a hardware store!
5) Use the tile glue to place your pieces you choose on your object. Make sure you leave about a centemeter between each pieice.
LET SET OVERNIGHT!!
6) Mix your grout up and put grout all over your object.
You can follow the grouting rules on your bag of grout, which is best due to diffrent types of grout!
I Usually let it set about 15-20 minutes then I take a damp cloth (old one) and wipe off the grout that got on to your tile pieces! I then let it set overnight agian.
Last I re wipe all the pieces down to insure that I got all of the grout off the tile/mirror. Usually it will come off with a little elbow grease!
There ya go! You just created a beautiful peice with mosaic
